Why is a filming schedule important to have?
A filming schedule is a extremely important record within the planning process and key when actually filming the video. This is because it allows us to recognise the amount of time we have to successfully shoot each scene, what costume the characters should be wearing, the iconography and equipment needed and what individuals are needed for each shot. It was important for us to know what the date and time of when each shot was being captured because it gave us a set amount of time which was needed to record each shot which meant we filmed each shot to a good standard without wasting any time, making filming more time efficient. Understanding the location of each shot was also very helpful as it meant that we filmed every shot we needed from each location rather than travelling back to location if we got to forget a particular shot, this again made our filming more time efficient. Recognising the content and the shot needed was also helpful as this meant we knew exactly what to film and had a clear idea of what we wanted to capture. Identifying the costume hair and make up and iconography meant that we was able to prepare what they had to wear and what props are needed before each shot which, again, saved time. Our risk assessment also showed us what personal and equipment we needed which meant that we understood who was needed for each shot, as well as, what was needed to capture it successfully.
Did you follow the schedule while filming, or did you make any changes?
When filming we did follow this filming schedule as closely as we could as we knew that this was the most time efficient way of capturing everything we planned to successfully. Despite this we did follow all the timings as accurately as we would of liked, this is because at each location we was coming up with new ideas which we believed would be beneficial to our dance music video. Another factor which prevented us from sticking to the timings we had planned was the fact that when filming in busy train stations was the fact that we had to make sure that we didn't get in the way of the pedestrians this meant that we had to keep on relocating to ensue we wasn't a inconvenience.

You have made a good start in explaining what the purpose of a filming schedule is. However, the table that you have included above does not fully show enough understanding of planning and this is because you have only planned 5 scenes, when you have a lot more include.
ReplyDeleteTherefore, you need to ensure that you have fully followed your storyboards to complete this post.
